On October 7, over 200 creators opened a collective TikTok account called “TikTok for Biden”, in which they encourage their audience to vote for and support former Vice President Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris in their 2020 presidential campaign.

The account has grown to have over 300 TikTok contributors, with posts being made multiple times a day. The popularity of the creators falls across a wide spectrum, with some creators at a few thousand followers and others at a few million. The account currently has over 750,000 followers and has been gaining attention, with views ranging from thousands to millions.

According to TikTok for Biden’s creators, the project’s goals are to educate the general TikTok-user public on not only aspects of the Biden-Harris campaign, but also general political issues on a national and global scale. They have spread awareness regarding LGBTQ+, POC, women’s, and environmental issues.

Aside from their platform on TikTok, TikTok for Biden also has a website containing an outline of the coalition’s goals and members, a link to their merchandise, a link to voting registration, and a form to subscribe to their newsletter.

Recognizable members of TikTok for Biden include Kellyanne Conway’s daughter Claudia Conway, Kamala Harris’s niece Meena Harris, actor Kevin McHale, and actor Garrett Clayton.
