Top Ten Holiday Songs

Kathryn O'Sullivan, Staff Writer

Ever since the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Music has been playing on the radio. We love Christmas music, so here is a list of our top ten holiday songs:

  1. “Feliz Navidad” – This song is a great combination of Christmas and Spanish flair that is great for dancing.
  1. “Mary, Did You Know” – This Christmas song was first recorded in 1991 and since then has been redone many times; one of our favorite remakes is by Pentatonix.
  1. “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas” – This upbeat, fun, and jolly song will put anyone in the Christmas spirit.
  1. “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” – How could anyone not love a song about a reindeer with a glowing nose?
  1. “Jingle Bell Rock” – This is one of the first songs that comes to mind when a person thinks about Christmas. It is basically the original Christmas song because it was released in 1958.
  1. “Hanukkah is Coming” – How could you forget this awesome song all about the great holiday that is Hanukkah?
  1. “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” – This song has great lyrics, and is accompanied by the great voice of Frank Sinatra.
  1. “Put on Your Yamaka” – Probably the most well-known Hanukkah song, and for a good reason. It is funny, and is one of the few awesome Hanukkah songs.
  1.  “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree” – This song can put us in the Christmas mood at any time; its great sound makes anyone want to get up and dance.
  1. “All I Want for Christmas is You” – This is the most amazing holiday song ever. Mariah Carey’s amazing voice is great to sing along to, and I haven’t met anyone that doesn’t like this song.
