Wesley Manning has been chosen as Kaleidoscope’s Athlete of the Month! Manning currently plays Quarterback for the Ward Melville Varsity Football team. Here is what he has to say about himself and his sport.

Q: How long have you been playing football?

A: I started playing Wildcats in 2nd grade.

Q: What are your personal goals and goals for the team this final season based on past achievements?

A: Personally, a goal of mine would be to get All-County and for the team, LIC all the way, baby. Sky’s the limit!

Q: What do you have as an athlete that you believe contributes to the team?

A: I think I have a good arm, so I’m able to get the ball to the receivers. I’m athletic enough to get out of the pocket and run the ball when I need to.

Q: What do you do to train in the off-season?

A: I have a personal quarterback coach that would train with me. I was in the weight room every day after school during the off-season.

Q: Are you seeking to continue football in college?

A: I’m looking to play football in college. My number one school right now is Monmouth University.
