On March 18, 2025, the eagerly anticipated Lollapalooza 2025 lineup was released. The festival will be held in Grant Park, Chicago, from Thursday, July 31 to Sunday, August 3. With an extensive lineup of artists from diverse genres, Lollapalooza 2025 is sure to satisfy concertgoers of all music tastes.
Each year, Lollapalooza is held on eight stages. Which stage each performance is held on depends on how popular the artist is, with the headliners of the festival performing on the two largest stages. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day, with some acts doing additional performances outside of Grant Park after the festival day ends. For those wishing to view from home, the larger acts of Lollapalooza will be live-streamed online.
To start the festival, Luke Combs and Tyler, the Creator will headline. In 2024, Tyler, the Creator was supposed to headline the Chicago festival, but unforeseen circumstances led to him being replaced last minute by Megan Thee Stallion. Luke Combs will become Lollapalooza Chicago’s first country headliner. Also on Thursday, Gracie Abrams and Cage the Elephant will perform. This will mark Abrams’ first time at Lollapalooza Chicago and Cage the Elephant’s fourth time.
The second day appears to be the most jam-packed day of Lollapalooza 2025. Olivia Rodrigo, who has headlined all of the international Lollapalooza festivals this year, will perform at Grant Park for the first time as a headliner. At the same time as Olivia Rodrigo, Korn will perform as a Lollapalooza headliner for the first time in almost thirty years. Additionally, Djo, Wallows, Bleachers, T-Pain and Foster the People will also perform on the second day.
For the third day, RÜFÜS DU SOL and TWICE will headline. Similarly to Olivia Rodrigo, RÜFÜS DU SOL has headlined almost all of the international Lollapalooza festivals this year. RUFUS DU SOL will provide an electronic dance performance that hasn’t been seen in a Lollapalooza Chicago headliner in quite some time. Also, TWICE will become the first-ever female K-pop group to headline Lollapalooza. Historically, crowds for K-pop acts at Lollapalooza have filled a majority of the park, so TWICE is predicted to attract a massive crowd. On Saturday afternoon, Grammy winner Doechii will continue her festival run with a performance in Grant Park.
To conclude the festival, A$AP Rocky and Sabrina Carpenter will be the final performances. A$AP Rocky has performed at Lollapalooza Chicago numerous times; however, this year’s festival will be his first time as a headliner. A$AP Rocky has not released a new album since 2018, so his performance at Lollapalooza could potentially come with new music. Sabrina Carpenter will perform at Lollapalooza for the first time since 2023, but she will now be a headlining act. Carpenter recently embarked on her Short n’ Sweet Tour, which was massively successful amongst her fans.
