The market is hot, and the talent is fresh. Free agency buzz is in the air as every team in the NFL is scrambling for their next big move. Just like the main event, pre-free agency is just as significant. Few managed to swing blockbuster trades and signings, but nothing is official until March 12.
Teams like the Seattle Seahawks and the New York Jets are making blockbuster moves, with Seattle landing quarterback Sam Darnold on a $100 million contract, and the Jets signing former Chicago and Pittsburgh quarterback Justin Fields. For the offensive and defensive lines, the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers are moving the most, signing and trading players like Tre’von Moehrig, Jaycee Horn, Bobby Brown III, Joe Thuney and Grady Jarrett.
There will be more roster shuffling and organizing for all 32 teams. Big names remain on the board, such as Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers and Cooper Kupp, who is still rumored to be released by the Rams and signed with the Patriots after signing former Packers, Raiders and New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams. The market remains hot and is still heating up. Big names are yet to ink their next large contract, and no-names are getting their next big opportunity to show out.
