Born on December 18, 2001, in Los Angeles, Billie Eilish started her musical career at the age of eight when she first joined her mom’s singing class. She wrote her first “real” song at 13 with the help of her brother Finneas, who already had his own band and had gained experience recording various songs. After the song gained the attention of thousands of listeners within the first few weeks of its release, her brother’s producer reached out to discuss Billie’s potential.
One year later, Eilish and her brother released their second single “Six Feet Under“ on Soundcloud. A homemade video was filmed and directed by Eilish and her mother Maggie Baird. After their first two singles were released, they soon started releasing new music every few months. Some of her early releases from this period include “Bellyache” and “Bored,” which were both released in 2017.
